AnalytiChem Partners with Spectral Blue to Expand Access to Chemical-Free Blue Light Disinfection

Written by AnalytiChem | Feb 5, 2026 2:11:27 PM

At AnalytiChem, we spend a lot of time thinking about contamination control, how it affects data quality, product safety, and ultimately the people who rely on scientific outcomes. That’s why we’re pleased to share news of a new distribution partnership with Spectral Blue, a Finnish innovator in antimicrobial blue light (aBL) technology. Together, we’re working to make advanced, chemical-free disinfection more accessible to laboratories and controlled environments around the world

Spectral Blue’s Blue MWHI® Multi-Wavelength Blue Light Disinfection Solution is designed for automated and continuous contamination control. Unlike traditional chemical disinfectants or UV-based approaches, antimicrobial blue light can be used as a safe, UV-free and residue-free method to support cleaner surfaces and better air quality. For many facilities, this opens new possibilities to maintain hygiene standards while reducing reliance on consumable chemicals and manual disinfection routines.

Through this agreement, AnalytiChem will provide international distribution, application guidance, and customer support for Spectral Blue’s solutions. Our established sales network and technical teams already work closely with customers in pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and laboratory environments—settings where contamination control is both a daily challenge and a regulatory priority. By adding blue light disinfection to our portfolio, we can help customers build more holistic, layered contamination control strategies.

As Nico Van Stallen, our Segment Director for Life Science and Lab Essentials, notes, this partnership aligns naturally with our mission to deliver high-performance, science-driven solutions. Our experience in environmental monitoring and contamination control workflows positions us to help customers adopt this technology in a practical, validated way, integrating it with existing processes rather than treating it as a standalone fix.

We also value that Spectral Blue shares our focus on scientific rigor, quality, and long-term customer success. Their team brings deep expertise in blue light applications across cleanrooms, laboratories, healthcare facilities, and food production sites. Together, we see strong potential to support safer operations and more sustainable practices across the life sciences ecosystem.

For our customers, this partnership is about options and evidence. It’s about giving laboratories and production facilities another well-engineered tool to protect their work, their products, and the people they serve. We’re excited to bring this technology to the communities we support and to continue advancing contamination control—one practical innovation at a time.
