February 2026 OREAS CRM Releases

Now Available: OREAS 470–474 Clay-Hosted REE CRM Series

We are proud to announce the release of the OREAS 470–474 series, our newest clay-hosted rare earth element Certified Reference Materials.

This five-material suite improves analytical accuracy in clay-hosted REE projects — one of the fastest-growing areas in the global critical minerals sector. Developed from a carefully blended matrix of kaolin, REE-enriched ultra-fine milled products, siltstone, and high-purity silica, the series replicates the mineralogy of ionic-adsorption clay deposits.

As part of the Critica Jupiter Clay-Hosted REE CRM suite, OREAS 470–474 supports laboratories and explorers working across lateritic and weathered REE systems, enabling stronger calibration, improved precision, and greater comparability of results for methods targeting total rare-earth and yttrium oxides (TREO+Y₂O₃).

Comprehensive Characterization

Each CRM has been extensively characterized for REEs using multiple analytical approaches to ensure robust performance across laboratory workflows:

• Borate Fusion XRF litho/silicate rock package (majors)
• Thermogravimetric LOI at 1000 °C
• Borate/Peroxide Fusion — full ICP-OES and ICP-MS elemental suites
• Four-Acid Digest — full ICP-OES and ICP-MS elemental suites
• Ammonium Sulphate Leach — REEs

OREAS 470–474 series is now available to support high-confidence QA/QC programs for clay-hosted REE exploration and development.

Coming Soon: New Copper–Gold VMS Certified Reference Materials

We’re preparing to launch a new suite of copper–gold Certified Reference Materials developed from blended volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) ores and rhyodacite host rocks sourced from the Firefly deposit in Canada.

This upcoming suite (114, 115, 911, 912, 913), has been designed to support geochemists working with copper-rich VMS systems where accurate measurement of low-level gold can be challenging. Covering a calibrated range of approximately 0.75–1.5% Cu and 40 ppb–2 ppm Au, the materials are made to reflect the mineralogical and geochemical complexity of real-world deposits.

By replicating sulphide-rich, polymetallic matrices, these CRMs will help laboratories strengthen calibration, monitor precision, and maintain confidence in long-term QA/QC programs.

Stay tuned for the official launch, coming soon
