Eight Newly Released Certified Reference Materials
We are pleased to announce the release of 8 new Certified Reference Materials (CRMs), with a further 10 CRMs currently in production and soon to be available.
OREAS 13c: Representative PGE–Ni–Cu Grades
One of the highlights of this release is OREAS 13c. Prepared from a carefully selected blend of PGE ores, gold ore, high-grade nickel and copper ores, and barren gabbronorite. The principal PGE ores were sourced from the UG2 and Merensky Reefs of the Dishaba Mine within South Africa’s Bushveld Complex, with gold and primary nickel sulphide ores sourced from Western Australia. Additional copper concentrate and high-grade Ni–Cu–PGE ore were incorporated to achieve the targeted analyte concentrations.
The result is a matrix and grade profile well suited to laboratories looking to monitor analytical performance across commercially relevant PGE, Ni and Cu concentrations.
OREAS 13c also has a strong history behind it. Its predecessor, OREAS 13b, proved highly popular with laboratories and QA/QC programs, and we’re pleased to replenish this important product category with a new material.
For laboratories working with PGE–Ni–Cu ores, OREAS 13c provides a valuable reference point for assessing analytical accuracy and consistency against grades that reflect real-world operations.
